The starting point

Cool Bionic was founded by three individuals who recognized that the current healthcare system was reactive and outdated. Jaslyn, John, and Josh (The 3 Js) came together with a bold vision: to transform healthcare by using data, science, and innovation to empower individuals.

Jaslyn Foo had spent years navigating the complexities of the medical system. As a seasoned doctor, she grew increasingly disillusioned with the reactive nature of healthcare—a system that primarily treats symptoms after the fact and relies heavily on pharmaceuticals without addressing the root causes of health issues. Her frustration ignited a search for better solutions. Jaslyn knew there had to be a way to empower individuals with the tools and knowledge to proactively manage their health, instead of waiting until something went wrong.

At the same time, John T. Amberose, a data scientist from Carnegie Mellon, was equally astonished by the underutilization of data in healthcare. John saw how industries such as retail and logistics could use advanced data modeling to optimize their processes, yet healthcare, arguably the most important sector, lagged far behind. Millions of patients passed through the system, yet their experiences and outcomes were not being analyzed or leveraged to improve future decisions. John saw an opportunity to harness this data to help people make smarter, more informed choices about their healthcare, driven by a deep belief that data could—and should—play a critical role in transforming lives.

Josh Xu, a dedicated researcher and biohacker, was similarly motivated by the potential to push the boundaries of human health. Josh’s extensive knowledge of cutting-edge health technologies and his relentless curiosity made him a key part of the equation. He envisioned a world where individuals could enhance their well-being through personalized, science-backed solutions.
 

Together, these three founders brought Cool Bionic to life. United by their expertise and a shared vision, they set out to redefine the healthcare landscape. Cool Bionic isn’t just a company—it’s a movement. We’re committed to challenging the current sick-care system by placing power back into the hands of individuals. Our goal is to equip people and organizations with innovative, data-driven tools that empower them to take charge of their health and recovery.
